Every single bird is inspected by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) in our Hazard Analysis Critical Control Programme (HACCP) approved plant, where birds are manually processed under the stringent regulations that the Canadian Government set out for safe food handling.
Stresses are reduced on the birds by skilled handlers using low intensity lighting and careful practices to ensure a safe quality environment and product.
The high standards of CFIA and HACCP are daily monitored and audited to ensure safety for the consumer. The CFIA standards are so extensive and recognized as such that the product is eligible to be exported to any country with the assurance of a safe food product.
